DESCRIPTION:Join us as Professor Gregg Dimkoff takes a look at recent economic history\, the current state of the U.S. economy\, and a recession for 1999?  Dr. Dimkoff is a professor of finance and chairman of the Finance Department at Grand Valley State University.  He has a Ph.D. degree in finance and a BS in chemical engineering from Michigan State University\, and MBA degree from Saint Louis University.\n\nHe has over 25 years of teaching experience at both Michigan State and Grand Valley with particular expertise in business finance\, personal finance\, and economics.  He was the first recipient of Grand Valley's Outstanding Teaching Award.  He has been recongnized for outstanding teaching since then\, and most recently was the 1998 recipient of the School of Business Alumni Association's award as outstanding business faculty member. \n\nHis publications include four books and nearly 50 articles.  He is a consultant for several companies and law firms\, and is president of GKD & Associates\, a fee-based financial planning and consulting firm.
